Join the Roseland Festival Committee for 2024!
With several members of our 2023 committee standing down, we are looking for fresh faces and new ideas! This year was the best festival yet; doubling our profit from last year, the proceeds of which go to local schools, and creating several new event concepts alongside the more established much-loved events. The committee meets once or twice a month (in the pub) to brainstorm, curate the programme and distribute tasks. For 2024 the plan is to scale back slightly, so the festival is likely to be 10 days (two weekends and the week in between) meaning workload will be reduced to that of previous years.
It’s a wonderful initiative to be a part of, meetings are held in a local pub, often with a team dinner beforehand and it’s a fabulous opportunity to meet new people and support local businesses; it’s very rewarding work!
We are currently searching for a Project Manager (this will be a semi-paid role given the management and time required) a Secretary and a Treasurer, both voluntary as historically and in line with charitable organisation. We already have two event coordinators but certainly welcome those with creative ideas or events experience they wish to share.
