Our Mission

Our main mission is to provide a high-quality festival on the Roseland, featuring cultural events to appeal to residents and visitors.   To further this aim, every year we organise two weeks of events in local halls and pubs on our wonderful peninsula.

An equally important part of our mission is to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the arts and of music in all its aspects.   The Committee are pleased to further that aim by offering small grants to individuals and groups based on the Roseland to help with arts-related projects.

We made minor amendments to our Constitution in January 2021 to clarify requirements around the Annual General Meeting.   This was to cover the special circumstances following 2020-21 COVID 19 regulations.  Please download our Constitution.

A Cornucopia of Entertainment

The Roseland Festival was formed in 2006.   The driving force was Greg Williams, our first Chairman, and his wife, Christine, who did a sterling job as Secretary.   Although no longer on the Committee, it is with great thanks to them that the Roseland Festival continues and goes from strength to strength.   It is now an established annual event on the Roseland, supported by locals and visitors a like.

Our thanks go to so many organisations, businesses and people who have supported us over the years – we can’t mention you all but thank you to all our friends past, present and future.
