28 Sep Annual General Meeting 2021

The 2022 Roseland Festival will start on Saturday 23 April 2022 and run until Saturday 7 May. After having to cancel both the 2020 and 2021 Festivals, the Committee is really looking forward to being able to have a Festival next year. We are already thinking ahead to next spring when the 2022 Festival will be in full swing, just as splendid as ever.
We are holding our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 27 October this year at the Memorial Hall, St Mawes. We would be delighted if you would come along to elect the 2022 Committee and hear about plans for the 2022 programme.
We will be pleased to report to all our Friends and supporters about our recent activities. Although we couldn’t hold any events last year, we have worked to support local young people in their arts-related projects. We have made donations to the local primary schools and to the Roseland Academy, to help with their arts activities during these troubled COVID times. We are also offering grants to local organizations and individuals to help with arts-related projects; if you would like to be considered for a grant, please visit the Grants page or email our Secretary.
A key feature of the regular AGM is to nominate a Committee for the following year. Sue Fallick steps down as Chair this year, although she will stay on for a handover period. I am sure you will join us in thanking her for all her hard work and enthusiasm which has kept the Festival alive over this troubled COVID period. The members of the 2021 Committee who wish to serve again for 2022 are:
- Graham Turpin, Chair
- Jane Stephens, Treasurer
- Jane Gillespie, Secretary
- Josh Hoole, Committee Member
- Diana Lockwood, Committee Member
- Penny Leach, Committee Member.
We are as ever very keen to have new Committee members, and so please come forward if you are able to help by joining our team. Please use the nomination form here. If you would like any further information about becoming a Committee member, please get in touch with me or Sue Fallick. Any nominations should be received by Wednesday 6 October. The 2022 Committee will be confirmed at the AGM.
We have asked many of the artists and performers we had planned for 2020 to be part of the 2022 Festival and we also have some new events. Please along and join us at The Millenium Rooms – nibbles will be provided.
If you can’t come in person, please do keep an eye on our website and there will be announcements about the 2022 programme as it takes shape and news via our social media. You can also support the Festival by becoming a Friend, either online or by email friends@roselandfestival.co.uk.
We hope you will help us make the 2022 Roseland Festival a really memorable one.
