02 Mar 2021 Festival Cancellation
We had hoped to hold some events in 2021. It was clear from January’s announcement of the third lockdown that we would not be able to hold a spring Festival but we thought we might be able to organize events in the summer or early autumn – even if it was not a full fortnight’s festival. The Committee met recently and looked at the Government’s roadmap to consider what that would mean for us. We felt the uncertainty around the 21 June end of restrictions meant that we could not organize summer events with confidence. We felt that an autumn mini-festival may be too close to the 2022 spring Festival. So it was with regret that we decided to cancel the 2021 Roseland Festival.
We will be focussing our attention on planning and organizing a full 2022 Festival, with provisional dates of Saturday 16 April to Monday 2 May. We will be announcing a date for an autumn Annual General Meeting where we can announce the programme for 2022. In the meantime, we will be publishing information about 2022 on our Events page.
