As you will know the Roseland Festival, due to be held back in the spring, had to be cancelled. We were so close to holding a fantastic two week festival in the Spring 2020 – great programme, all acts booked, generous advertising and sponsorship obtained, and 6000 festival brochures printed! We are very keen to try and refocus this energy into producing a festival for either 2021 or 2022.
Another festival?
This question is paramount in the minds of those on the committee. We are committed to the continuation of the festival but are facing real challenges. As well as the obstacles imposed by Covid, the committee is six people, only six and some are due to retire at the next AGM. As you will realise it is going to be impossible to hold another festival if we do not have more nominations for the committee. So if you are interested now is the time to come forward – there may not be another opportunity.

It is hard work but enjoyable and there are many avenues that can be followed, for example – are you good at IT and social media? Would you be interested in booking performers, be they musicians or authors? Or are your interests in arts and crafts or walking the Roseland with a historical or environmental hat on? This is not a ‘cry wolf’ situation, there will not be another Roseland Festival in the future if there are no people willing to come forward with their skills.
